PROGRAMMATIC LEVEL

The program outcomes and master's essential in nursing were opening competencies for myself. I practiced many of these competencies in my everyday work but not to the degree I would have preferred. Now after going through the degree program I can see the growth I have endured. Collaborating with other departments to provided the best care possible for the patient, using research to give the best care possible, remaining fiscally responsible of our inventory, expressing the Benedictine values for the patient, learning new ways to address issues with nurses and administration, remaining ethical throughout care of patients, and understanding how global issues in healthcare affect our organization. All of the program outcomes provided a better understanding how I can improve daily at my job. The master's essentials in nursing competencies were great to improve myself for future leadership roles. I feel more competent in the organizations leadership, using informatics, understanding health policy & advocacy, improving the patient population using an inerprofessional approach, demonstrating scholarship into practice, and practicing quality improvement initiatives. All of these competencies will add to my knowledge on assigned task in these competency areas.
